Current University of Chicago students, faculty, and staff may book rooms in the Center for Digital Scholarship up to 7 days in advance for up to 3 hours per day.
Patrons must check in to their booking within 15 minutes of its start time or the booking will be automatically cancelled.
Current UChicago students, faculty, and staff may book workstations in the Center for Digital Scholarship to use specialized software provided by the Library. Visit https://www.lib.uchicago.edu/research/scholar/visit-cds/cds-software/ for a full list of available software and directions towards related tutorials. Workstations are for use of provided software for digital scholarship activities. Appointments are not required, but are recommended to guarantee use of a patron computer.
Users with an appointment will have priority for use of a patron computer.
Center for Digital Scholarship Hours:
9a-4:45p (M-F)
The Digital Project Labs in the Center for Digital Scholarship are intended for use by UChicago students, faculty, and staff to collaborate with onsite and remote partners on digital projects. Each of the two Labs is furnished with a table, chairs, and bookshelves and comes equipped with a HP Poly Studio Zoom device and a large monitor. Users can connect to Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet meetings through the HP Poly Studio device or they can connect directly to the monitor using a provided HDMI cable. The Digital Project Lab are not equipped with computers.
