Map-a-thon flier image

The University of Chicago Library, Research Computing Center, Humanities Computing, and UChicagoGRAD invite University of Chicago students, staff, and faculty to drop-in to participate in a mapping event. Participants will learn basic geospatial skills by contributing to humanitarian projects and relief efforts. Participants are encouraged to create an OpenStreetMap account prior to participation. 

No knowledge of GIS is required to participate, but a computer or laptop is required (no tablets)Twenty computers are available for use in the lab, but participants may also bring their own laptop to ensure participation.

Location: Biological Sciences Learning Center (BSLC) room 018, 924 E. 57th St. Enter on the first floor and take the stairs to the lower level. Turn right off the stairs, and 018 is the last room in the hall.
